Students entering university must be able to express themselves fluently in spoken and written English. You will need to check your universities websites, but generally speaking even if you have a US, Canadian or UK passport if you are not a native English speaker and you have not received at least two or three years of secondary education in an English speaking country, epl strongly recommends that you take the TOEFL or the IELTS. If you are not sure whether your university requires the test, ask epl to help you find out.
You also need to check the deadlines for submitting test scores and arrange with each testing agency to send your scores directly to your schools. Epl does not recommend you to simply take the test and just hope for the best. All schools have cut-offs for scores, so ask us to help you find out what your university expects from you. Also, while it may seem like an easy exam that you could do in your sleep, you should not go into the test cold. Both tests are long and have different testing styles. It is important to get used to the testing procedures before you enter the exam. Epl can help you go through practice tests and give you the skills and tips you need to be prepared and confident. A little preparation with the tutors at epl can go a long way in making sure that you do not need to take these exams multiple times!
